  7.                                  What it Does
  8.  
  9.    Log back is a activity.xxx backup program for Wildcat 3.x BBS's.  Many
  10.    utility such as the stats generator for WCPRO delete your activity log.
  11.    This program makes a copy copy of your log called MM-DD-YY.xxx where MM
  12.    is the month, DD is the day and YY is the year.  The program then adds
  13.    this into a ARJ archive called mmmLOG.ARJ where mmm is the three letter
  14.    abrevation for the month.  There are a few other programs that do the
  15.    same thing but not with ARJ.  LOGBACK uses arj with the -m1 -jm switches
  16.    for maximum compression.

  18.                                  How to Run It

  20.    To use LOGBACK make shure that the variable WCNODEID= is set in your
  21.    CAT.BAT file or your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.  If it is not LOGBACK will abort
  22.    and tell you this.  LOGBACK supports WCNODEID's of 1 to 255. Then just
  23.    run it from the dir that contains your activity.xxx logs.

  25.                                  What it Costs

  27.    LOGBACK is free for now.  It was a test for my first program on a MS-DOS
  28.    machine.  If you would like a copy that will say "registered to: xxxx"
  29.    just call my BBS and leave a message.  This will help me know if it
  30.    serving some purpose.  Also any suggestions would be helpful.

  34.    Comming in Version 2 is:
  35.    1) User config file telling how many nodes to back up so no need for
  36.    changing WCNODEID do do different logs from the same batch file.
  37.    2) User defined dir for the log archive.
  38.    3) Support of eiother ARJ, ZIP, or LZH
